Rotting, decaying, waiting.....

The busi Jan is going to finish. Done with the stupid conference thing. Life in office is back to rotting mode.... It not rotting that I am worried... its the uncertainity.... The year has began and naturally its time to finish the review for 2007 and objective setting for 2008. Sian!

I hate this part.... and the best is I haven hear anything... that means I am being forgotten again! Or purposely left out. Sian....I just have to tell myself... hold and see... its the waiting that I hate most. Waiting for salary every month...to clear bills.... Waiting for year to end, waiting for review, waiting to see got increament bo... waiting to see new changes to system bo... wait and wait... end of the day... sai one big lump nia....

Feb coming... ok... CNY.... finish so call CNY shopping last Sunday... actually this yr I cut my shopping list... not much stuffs I want to buy... actually is cut cost... but I think I din really cut cost in term of value... I guess its the no of items decrease but value keep the same or increase... So... that is wat the ppl are saying... increase in cost of living.

I managed to get a new set of clothing for CNY... its so hard to get Nick to pick a shirt for new year... he cant be bothered to buy 1. I dun know why its so hard to man to buy clothes. Its never enough shopping for new clothes and shoe for me! Hahahah... Walk half a day nia, he complain tired liao....

Did a count on my CNY expenses...mostly goes to clothes. And CNY goodies... although I cut on quantity but amount sum up to be almost the same as last year... still a few more goodies I haven buy... will see how. The necessity has already been stocked up...like tibites, drink and beer! 

This year we buy a lot of beer... why? Because Uncle Nick wants that Golden rat from Tiger beer! There are 3 of them "Fu Lu Shou". Free 1 piece in a nice box with 3 cartons of beer. (Its 10 can per carton) Last Saturday we lugged 3 cartons back... and I choose the "FU" golden rat. Uncle Nick say he wants 3 of them! I say 1 "FU" represent everything liao.

Next is ang bao... we need to give ang bao this yr... ok... no choice, like wat my colleague say, take it as a blessing when u can give "能给是福". But within our means lar.... then I realise this yr all the places like cut cost, ang bao packet also give until very kiam! Last year petrol station give like no body biz.I collect a lot! Hahaha... This yr I din manage to get any from petrol station.

Then go shopping mall, its like u spend 50 bucks then exchange 1 free packet of ang bao. Inside per pack is like 6 pieces nia. Woh bang.... paper increase cost also... Somemore need to q up to collect. We had this receipt of $115. We q like 10 over ppl infront to see what we can do with the receipt... thought got lucky draw or wat. Who knows 1 foc ang bao packet. Because it was a single receipt, the lady wanted to give me 1 pack nia, then Uncle Nick say "we spend 100 lei, u must give me 2 pack".... after that I laughed at Nick... I tell him... he very typical Singaporean loh.....

I walk past some lelong waggon... ppl grabbing pillow... $9.90 offer, usual like 20+ so I grabbed 2 also...hahaha.... then q again to pay money. I ask Nick to q while I go to the loo. When he reached the cashier, the lady behind him damm kan cheong to pay money. She paid for our pillow instead. The cashier collect the money from her 1st, but Nick was infront of her. So Nick said to the cashier, "U all very confusing and ruan lei" Then I tell Nick...he is becoming more and more like uncle liao! :P hahahaha

One more week to CNY... With CNY coming, everywhere can hear "Feng shui shi fu" giving talk then ytd I heard this famous one mentioned that spring cleaning also must choose date..cannot certain date cos clash with certain sign lar....woh bang... faint ar... I best liao... I choose not to spring clean... then wont clash with anyone loh...hahahah :P

Sometimes back...I heard on radio.... the 1st Wednesday of the year is the saddest day cos you start seeing ur xmas cc bill, u are back to reality and work, and u see that your resolution is going to be broken..... I do agree to some extend... BUt I think it apply to Ang Mo country...

In Singapore I think its the month of Jan that is the darkest... cos you start seeing u need money for CNY, your cc bill for XMAS + CNY. Back to work but no mood cos CNY coming... if you work in Ang Mo company lagi worse... they dun understand why U need to spend so much time to prepare for CNY. Hahaha (I already hear my colleague complaining no time to make cny cookies, have to take leave) ... and lastly, by now, you would have realise that most of the new year resolutions is crushed...not broken nia...

My 1st resolution already crushed... hse most probably wont be ready by this year...so xmas venue.... cant be at home liao... but new year dun have to think of venue...cos 2 cousins married side by side on 30 and 31... so 31 after wedding dinner can go see fireworks...hahahah... I am a bit crazy hor. Think of dec 08 liao, Jan 08 just about to finish. Hahahah..... its better to have hope rather than rot and vegetate rite. :)

Ok... I need some excitment... wats next.... I m so bored....

 

Busi Busi week

Last week had to run a sales conference at Marina Oriental... from Thursday till Saturday.... eat and eat....hahahha..... Frankly speaking Oriental de food is really good. Breakfast is croissant, assorted cupcakes, cranberry bread. Morning teabreak is bao, mini curry pok, mini sausage roll, brownies. Lunch is the best! The Melt cafe in Oriental!!!! Range from western, japanese, indian, chinese...etc.... lots of selection... The best part is the dessert corner... freshly bake waffles with ice cream!!! And assorted cakes and trays and trays of mini dessert!!!! like bread pudding, cream bulee, mango pudding cake, tiramisu, choco fudge cake....etc... They have fruits, softdrink, chinese dessert like ice kachang also... Imagine my 3 days there I din try the ice kachang, cos I had too much fun with the "ang mo" dessert liao... I had the waffles with chocolate ice cream every lunch! Afternoon teabreak is all the sweet stuff that can melt u! Brownies, mini cakes, mini chocolate....

Not to forget, the service at Oriental is really good! Thumb up! Nice service! Should try the Melt cafe... dun miss their seafood stew, the prawn and mussle is really really nice... lamb and beef stew...yummy! But best of all is still the desserts!!!!! I was there for lunch, so I m not sure about their dinner menu. 3 days having food at the same place is still not enough!!! hahaha!

1st 2 days I practically eat like 5 to 6 meals a day... Breakfast, morning tea break, Lunch, afternoon tea break, Dinner! Its scary! The food serve is really good... too tempting liao... on the last day, I decided to give up on morning tea break... but they serve siew mai with whole piece of scallop! I surrendered liao! Hahahahah

Its only when I come back and look at the photo then I realize I got so engross in eating that I have forgotten to take the photos of the food!!! I am so call the official photographer of this conference so practically I go ard taking photo of ppl meeting and stuff.... but I forget to take the photo of the food I eat! Hahahah....

Ok... I din really go there to enjoy.... I was working for more than 12 hrs a day ensure set up and smooth running of event... so the food is like compensation for me lar.... From last yr xmas till this event I had the worse months of working life here.... tonns of requests and changes... finally its over... now its time to look forward to a new year... ... after CNY... another big event coming.... I wonder which hotel this time... do I get so much free time to savour the food???? hahahah! This time I get free time when the meeting start... so I just linger outside the reception to savour the food while they having meeting!!!

Hahahaha!!!! By the time, the last day of the event.... I can't let go of eating... the event finish at 5 plus. So Nick pick me up and we went to toast box at bugis to have tea while waiting for the rest of the gals...meeting up to cel WS bday... I order a peanut butter thick toast... Yummy! nice lei.... hahahah...

By the time we meet up with the gals get settled at Miss Clarity Cafe... we had a hard time with seating arrangement! its a long table... facing each other side by side de setting...hahaha....the gals wanna sit together... so make the bfs sit one side... then some gals dun want to be separated with their bf mar... so re arrange again....I think next time find round table better.....hahahah....By the time to order food, I already dun feel like eating liao... but before that I saw 3 gals eating this pork wrapped ham and cheese deep fried looking stuff... look good! Hahaha... So we order that... the taste so so loh... The rest of the gals are complaining that the quality of the food drop standard... I have not so much complain cos I already had too much good food for the past few days... so I must be grateful.... hahahah :P

After dinner is chilled out time... went to chimes... had some breezer... din drink much cos I am really tired from the 3 days of events... Its event... not eating that tired me out...  I think I still look sane in this photo! Hahaha....Surin join us quite late... gals talk...gossip... talk abt young gers nowadays... I guess we are getting older and older we start to look at wat the young gers are doing nowadays...hahaha.... I hope we are not engaging into some auntie discussions! Hahahah... the guys just enjoy their football.... lagi more bo liao loh.... We hang around until abt 12 and made our way home...tired out......This week is really short... its short of rest...hahahah

Start of 2008

Full stop to year of 2007.

Just begin the year of 2008.... it denotes the closure of some stuffs, it also denote the opening to some new stuffs...

I would say 2008 started in a "happening" way... not only for myself also for friends around me! Hahahah....

We spend the eve new year dinning at Jurong Hill top.... where Mr Holland king lead me go tuas "dou feng" .... we manage to find the place.... enjoy the dinner! Fast and efficient.... but a bit too salty.... join the countdown at the neighbourhood.... ganna hit by fireworks... Huat ar! Beside that a lot of ah nei count down with us! Shit.... I swear not to go for neighborhood count down in future.

Hahahah... then been to Jacky Cheung 92th world 2007 concert....he sing throughout the full 3 hrs!!! Solid man! But he din sing my fav song lei....he got a musical segment that I almost fall asleep...Jacky's fan pls dun beat me... I dun really understand the cantonese songs... The best part of his concerts are all the classic of Jacky's song... I like particularly the 2 songs he wrote...one for his elder daughter and one for his wife.

following next... up and coming is.....
Chinese New Year ....less than 1 month!!! This year beside the new year goodies... need to prepare ang bao liao loh.....That day I was asking Pig Worm, how much to bao... his idea is cannot too small... my idea is "sui yi" lar.... then we did a count...woh.... its going to burn our pocket... then I just make this remark that maybe we should make sure a small one pop out by 2009 CNY to collect ang bao to recoup cost. Hahahahaha... Pig worm reply "still in time lei!" I reply back "Siao ar"
Chinese New Year is also my birthday!.... As usual, the world Chinese is celebrating for me! :P Hahahaha... Yesterday I receive a surprise sms from pig worm.... A birthday msg in advance! Hahaha.... A small action shows a thousands words... now its time wait for the real action! :P We have already bought the ticket to a musical... I wanted to watch that... so we grab the tickets quite early....Pig Worm paid for it and he said that will be the birthday gift.... I ask him a few times, beside that what are we doing.... he say go home sleep loh... *bash bash bash!
