Surprise birthday celebration at new place

We went to new place again on sat. Ws and James wanna come and see our new place. Nick pick me up after his class and we brought a small picinic table to the place since there are not siting place yet. Brought a ladder along as Nick wanna check he lighting point.

We reached about 5pm, ws and james reached shortly. The ceiling is quite high and the ladder is quite unstable. Nick checked 2 points and I ask him not to check as the ladder seems dangerous... He mentioned wanna go to the car to take something I thought he wanna take his "fav" and I told him to bring the ladder back to the car as well.

I was talking to ws as Nick appear outside the house with a cake and a candle. They sang birthday song and I was taken by surprise! Din know he plan all these. What a sweet thought! Nick bought a strawberry shortcake from breadtalk and a sunflower! He wishes me everyday to be as happy as the sunflower!

James help us took photo with his new DSLR! Hahah... no wonder they brought a camera along. Nick has secretly told them about the plan. It was a memorable celebration at our new place.
We enjoyed the cake and left our new place. We went back in the evening as my parents wanted to view the place.

Birthday present and Opening door

We took leave on friday to collect our keys. Thursday I received a phone call from my ex col Kelly for catch up and stuff. Nick picked me up after work as usual. I saw a bear holding flower on the seat! Wat a surprise! Its my bday present! Hahahhaa... its from Kelly. She intended to send to my office on friday. But through the phone call, she realised that I am on leave, so she faster call Nick to pick up after work. Thanks Gal! Wat a great surprise! The bear is very cute and the flowers are very sweet!
Friday morning we went to HDB to collect our keys. Tonns of paper to sign and I guess no body read the terms and conditions... we just sign and sign then collect our keys. Activate the water and electrical supply. We went to fetch my mum from her medicial check up and bought some stuffs like pad lock, mop, pail etc and head for our new place.


A swamp of contractors are waiting at the void deck for lobangs. We opened our mailbox to collect the cables. 1 contractor even follow us to the lift and tell his service. We tell him already got contractors then he left.

Did a simple door opening ceremony with Nick shouting "HUAT" as he rolled the "ong lye" into the house.

Soon after the opening of door, a lot of contractors and designer come to knock and sell their service. We told them we already got contractors and confirmed... actually we din. Just want to stop them from pestering... hahahha...

The hse is quite small... the living room and dinning room combine is like very small. Kitchen is small as well. MBR is small... hahhaha.... its really a "little house" of ours! Nick turn on the water supply and I hear water leakage sound. One of the tap at the MBR toilet is leaking. Then we test the "ma tong", 1 of it is like the stopper not working, the other is like no water flow also... super terrok....  we hit the "ball alike" thing a few times and it works... hahhaha... put in the blue cleaner in as I learn this from forum to check for "ma tong" leakage. The one in the mbr got leakage. We wet the toliet, service yard and kitchen to see if water flow. Look ok to us.

Nick continued with his task to "hit" the flooring to check for defects. One of the contractor we met before came knocking on our door. We let him in and he tell us that the tile flooring are quite well done, just have to take note of the timber flooring of the 3 bedrooms. We found some hollow strip and indicate the defects. We din really check the kitchen tiles. They look quite ok. We are exhausted as well. Closed all the windows and we left our new place to submit the defects list.
