I dun know if I spell it correctly..hahahha but this is what happen to my maid... :P I have been busy lately and hard to find time to blog but this event is too eventful not to blog about it. Hhahahahha
My maid told me earlier of the month that she do not wish to continue with me anymore after the contract end in Oct. She says she wants to tell me earlier so that I have time to look for a replacement. I din want to get any maid for the time being as I am really tired of managing one.
I thought of keeping her till Sept as charlotte's school has closure in end of Aug... But she is starting to "chu pattern" ever since she has thoughts of going home. She requested to have off day like 1 or 3 days to visit her mother in Penang. I think she is crazy... how can she travel without us! Siao! I rejected her request.
Next, her so call cousin who married to SG appear out of the blue going to sell her a 2nd hand hp and camera, being a "rich" maid, she wants to get these item for $400! Despite my advice to her not to waste money. I refuse to let her keep the hp, I told her I will give it back to her when she is going back. She requested to use it 2 weeks before going home to familiarise! I told her, u can have all the time to familiarise when u are back!
The ultimatum came and I let her have her camera and she took some weird pictures with it. She got the camera on Sunday, and requested to keep the camera (the hp is with me)... Monday evening when I reached home, she ask me to develop some photos for her and to my shock, these pictures are like FHM wannabe photos lar.. Pose in the weirdest place like the toilet of my home!
I keep quiet and never questioned her... I develop the photo for her and an extra set for my keeping... I took photos and send them to my friends and colleague for their viewing pleasure... I hope some of them din puke after seeing.
That evening I immediately book the nearest air ticket... I was already looking for one but in Sept period as I hiam the ticket expensive and also of the Aug school closure... But after seeing those photos I think I cannot risk it anymore. I book the latest ticket and heng got discount... I applied leave for Charlotte's school closure.
I sound her out on Tuesday evening and told her that I "Got" the agent to book the ticket and she can go anytime the ticket and cancellation of work permit is ready. She says actually she hope to go back before Hari Raya if possible...
I purposely kept it from her till Friday evening... I told her the permit is cancelled and approved and she is going back on Sat! She got a shocked and she freak out... cos no time to do shopping! Nowadays, maid is no longer the cheapo kind, they are not painful about spending money! I brought her for quick shopping on Friday evening and Sat morning and can sense that she spend money like "no see price tag". She even plans to buy a big luggage if not for the pressing of time... I thought they would be satisfied with just some "free" hand carry kinda bag but she is not. She also threw away some of the T-shirt and shorts that she is wearing in SG (those I gave her) and bras... She left a couple of items behind... T-shirt and shorts, panty and bra and best of all used pad that is not cleared. We threw away the left over stuff as the t-shirt and short she just soak it in pail of water and din even bother to throw.
Surprisingly, Charlotte reacted very well to her leaving... she din fuss or cry over it... Perhaps she understands the kaka is not same as us... On Friday evening I told her, Kaka is going home, her daddy and mummy not same as u. She is going back to kumpong... (cos Charlotte might not understand what is the maid home, since we also say go home means going back to our home)... Then I say, next time Daddy bring u home from school, feed you and clean u ok? She replied "mummy?"... I say "Yes, Daddy and Mummy feed u, clean u, pong pong u OK?" She nod and say "hmm... (mean yes)"... I am surprised... hahahahh I am expecting "No No" to come out from her mouth.
When the maid packed up she also told Charlotte, "U see kaka clothes all pack and kaka is leaving, Bye Bye Charlotte"... She got no reaction... and surprisingly she suddenly refuse to let the maid carry... and Daddy immediately upgrade to Level 2! Between Nick and myself we also say Mummy is No 1 and Daddy is No 3... he say he is not worried cos when the maid leave, he will be No 2. and he is RIGHT!
we send the maid to the airport and when she left, Charlotte has no reaction. I can sense that the maid does dote on Charlotte, but a stronger urge to go back too... hahahhah.... I felt a bit lost when she left... not that I missed her but I know my maid life has started! ... and indeed, I am working non-stop at home since the maid left... still trying to adjust...
Overall, I do enjoy the stress-free of having a maid... hahahha dun have to constant worrying about what she is up to her sleeves. Hahhaha... I just have to adjust to managing my "terrible 2" for the time being and cope with the housework... one thing for sure, I really hate ironing and Charlotte's uniform is very crumple... hahhahah... I just chin chye iron... anyway she wont hiam... hahahha
And the most funny thing is... when we ask Charlotte where kaka go? She reply "army"... hahahhah cos when Nick was away last 2 weeks for reservice, we taught her Daddy go Army... I brought her to fetch Daddy at the camp and every army man who walked out in uniform she say Daddy... But dun know where she has this idea that the maid went to army! hahhahah... I told her kaka go back to Kumpong... ask her say Kumpong, she say "ah pong" then she refuse to say... I think she reply "army" for convenience sake. hahahhaha...
