It was a birthday celebration for him. First time on cruise for him and he was especially excited for this trip. We arrived at harbourfront in the afternoon, all ready for the trip! We boarded the ship at 6pm, just nice for the nice evening sun. We went to the "titanic" stand, it was really at the tip front of the ship!
We had our dinner and went to the top deck, can't wait to see the ship set sailing! We went to the "galaxy of star" for a drink. As he wanted a "Love Me" by Collin rayes delication, I secretly write a note on the delications:
Happy Birthday to my dearest Nick and love you always!
He was quite surpise to hear the message from the singer. Although they cant really sing the song well, I m sure he is happy with the arrangement. He kept saying that he will make me more "paisei"... hmmm I dun really get wat he was trying to say at that moment... As the clock was going to strike 12 midnight, we were having supper and I litted a candle on a small piece of brownie and sang him a birthday song!
As the night turn dark, shiny stars are all over the sky. But he keep saying that is not a lot of stars. There are 2 main things I wanted to do on this cruise, 1 is to take photo at the "titanic" point - mission done. And another one is Sunrise!
As the alarm goes off at 6.00 am. I wake him up at 6.15am and thought the usual lazy pig would nuai in bed and cant get his butt off the bed. Who knows, he jumped off the bed and tell me, "dun waste, we already here, must see sunrise" Surprise, surprise.... Hahahha...
We reached the deck at 6.30am. Can't see any yellow york, all we see is the semi bright skyline. It was already very beautiful! Suddenly, he get quite sentimentals with his words. "We have know each other for coming 3 years, and we have been though happy and sad moment. ..." I chipped in and say, "more happy times than unhappy and why u get so emotional"...
My tears uncontrollably rolled out from the corner of my eyes when I saw him reached for his pocket!... He continued, "and I want to continue with u for the rest of my life." He kneel down and bring out the ring, "Will you marry me?" My tears could no longer hold, it was terribly touching moment! I said "YES!" and he put on the ring on my finger. We held each other in eternal hug! I said "Yes, I do and I will always love you!", the eternal promised is sealed with a kiss! It was a dream proposal of my life.
Just as we were emersed in the sea of love, we saw the bright yellow york rise up from the sea! It was a perfect scenery! I was jumping in delight! Thank you for making it so special. As I was still in the state of dreamy...he continued, " I did not choose this date because of my birthday, because its 512, which means I LOVE U"...these words really touched me down to the depth of my heart! I will never forget this special day!
The rest of the day was spend in happy mood, of course! Hahaha... We received a birthday cake from the cruise management. No birthday song this time, but a nice chocolate birthday cake! We went for jacuzzi and it was too hot under the sun, we took a nice shower and went for the bbq buffet. After the dinner, we enjoy the nice and romantic sunset which cant stop me from remising on the surpise proposal in the morning. We seat ourself under the moonlight and talk abt our plans and future with chilling beer, nice music and breezy wind. The night was ending with chill out in the bar, a topless show that make him doze off..hahha...
It was the day to go back home sweet home. I could see the morning sun from our room. The sleepy head can't open his eyes wide to view it with me. Not the same from the day earlier..hahah...cos he has completed his mission already! Hahahah....
I can't describe fully in words....but its a kind of stable feeling... before I said YES... although we already took the bridal photos, everything were already arranged... the feeling of going to be Mrs Tan was'nt that strong.... Looking at the ring, it has a deeper meaning than just a ring. Its more than just the process of going to be Mrs Tan. I feel a deeper meaning to that. It as a eternal promise deep in the heart of the diamond.
