NJ Wedding Morning

My aunties and uncle came over my place on the eve of the wedding day. My grandpa came as well...hahha.... As it gets around midnight, they slowly get to rest. My 2 sisters, wanching and surin came over my place. They squeeze the lime and make them into cube. Weishien came over for a while to store the bitter tea. We got hungry and decided to order macdonalds... hahhaha.... I managed to sleep at 2am on the eve of AD.

The day started with the "shu tou" and changing into gown, makeup... everything happen in a blink of the eyes! Hahaha... Nick side also gets ready and leave for home around 7am.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Preparing for tekan session: Lime Ice cube!!!

Its a long list of tekan. They have to cut the "shuang xi", eat the "suan, tian ku lar" but tua kang snatch the bitter tea say he will drink but he pour the bitter tea away and wet his own back (as he pour backwards) Oh bi good!. My sister group got so angry!...hahah....

Next, they have to eat the lime cube, chilli garlic bread.... hahah the chilli was prepared by Kacy and they saw the minced garlic in my fridge so they improvised on the spot.... hahahah...last was the sweet stuff...each brother has to suck finish 2 lollipop.....hahah..

Meanwhile, they search the rabbit cage for the key! Weishien ran into the room and question how come they know... we were puzzled too... end of the day we found out that my brother is the spy...Nick call him on hp and he told him where they key was hidden! But Weishien is not stupid too! The minute she saw them searching for the key, she faster take the metal gate key from my bro to lock the gate... ahahha... So it was my bro who act bad and good guy!..

Finally, Nick has to answer some questions on our courtship... He finally managed to get into with the last and big ang bao!!!...hahah......Last but not least, before he can get into my bedroom, he has to write down 5 things that he will do for me (this is my idea!!!) We gave him a help list with keywords like, do hse work, cooking, and most impt hand over his salary to me!!! But he not stupid. He write "give monthly allowance"... my sister group ask how much... then he act siao, act blur! He finally get through all the tekans and come into the room! Hahaha....

 

 

We left my place and arrived at Sim drive where we have to pray to Nick's ancestors.

Who says a bride cannot eat??? Hahah.... The minute we stepped into the hse, seeing the food for the breakfast high tea, cant help it, faster call Surin to take food for me! Hahahaha.... My sisters keep complaining I am not gentle enough...hahha... must act more demure lar.....

After the traditional tea ceremony, we went to Supreme court for phototaking before heading back to our lovenest.

 

 

 

This is the funny part of the morning ceremony. When we were at the doorstep, Nick was inside the hse and I stand at the gate refused to go in... why? Because he din carry me! Hahaha... I say, "U never carry me, I dun want to go in!" hahaha

While Nick went to prepare for praying. My sisters group and me were in the room. I quick hand quick leg remove 1 pin from my hair. As the old saying goes, the bride remove the 1st pin then u wont be control by ur hubby! Hahah... Then my dear fred kacy was so facinated by the saying she start asking if the 2 bears on my bed has some meaning too.... all of us fainted! Hahaha... Then we get Nick to come in to remove the veil...hahha... he din know abt the old saying... Later part of the day, in the car I did tell him wat I did..but he was too sleepy to hear me (cos he din sleep the previous nite, play majong loh...so he sleep throughout the car journey)...hahha

My sisters help me change and make some twist to my hairstyle. Thanks to Joey, she has done a nice job of pinning the orchid into my hair! Hee hee!

We returned home and my relatives were eating lunch! Cant resist the power of food. All my sisters were hungry too... we decided to eat lunch 1st. My sisters help me take a lot of food and we all savour in my bedroom!!! Hahaha.....My dad cooked the braise pork leg that Nick has brought over in the morning. Everyone is facinated by this dish! Yummy! We had the tea ceremony. After which we eat the "mian sien" and eggs prepared by my mum.
