Post Wedding Thoughts

Finally get to settle down. Return the gowns, red wine and the video cam on Sunday. Went to the tour agency to settle the bills. Also managed to work out the spreadsheet of cost, expenses, bills. Count all the ang baos and settled the bills before we leave for Honeymoon this Thursday.

Today back to office, finally get sometimes to read my friends' blog. Most of them blog on my wedding event! Hahaha... Kinda fun to read and know what's their thoughts of the wedding. Most of the feedback was great. Some stuffs I read from them:

From Weishien:
SL was done wif her make up.... her parents put the veil for her.... me, as the maid of honour, i have the honour to help her wear her wedding shoes.... so proud leh.... heee..... locked the gate w/o much hesitation..... soon, the groom arrived.... shouting along the corridor.... then our time started..... heeee......

1st, is cutting the double happines.... nick not bad, he actually draw the wording n cut them all out.... i will say his cutting not bad.... 2nd, drinking of the magic potion.... that tua kang actually pour away my bitter potion, stupid him.... shawn asked me who is the "leader" of the session, i told him the BIGGEST in size one, which is ME !!!! wahahaha.... then halfway thru, i saw nick's cousin squatting at the bunny's cage searching for something.... immediately, i went to SL's bro to get the gate key.... i locked the gate wif PS "shielding" me.... ha.... u all clever but i not stupid ok....

then shawn tried to grab my key using his 2 palms wanna touch my nei nei.... i actually straighten my back n dare him to touch cos i know he wouldnt dare to touch.... the gals were amazed...... wahhahaha......

the last game is questionaire.... nick not too bad, he managed to ans most of the questions (maybe the questions too easy for him liao).... then of course, we wanted our BIG BIG ang baos b4 opening the gate for him..... 1 last game for nick, that was set by SL, it was a "lifetime contract"..... n there go nick to get his beautiful bride..... then we proceed to sims drive for tea ceremony for the groom's side....

then we went to SL's new room in Jurong..... oh my, that place is very ulu.... then SL changed into her tea dress..... but b4 changing, she actually took 1 hairpin off from her veil.... this is bcos if bride took the 1st hair pin out from her veil, she will not be controlled by her husband.... hahaha.... by this time, we all were dead tired liao.... all lying ard SL's new room like some kind of "cannot make it" de jellies.....

WS, Thanks for the detail descriptions on the tekan portion. Luckily Shawn dun dare to touch your nei nei, if not he sure die...James sit on him, he die liao... with all the intestines flowing out...hahah... abit disgusting here. Hahaha..... Let see wat you have the the evening part....

most gals appeared in black..... nice........ oh ya, surin wore a short dress wif boots that nite..... *wolf whistle*.... after 11yrs man, she finally wear a dress...... last seen her wearing a skirt is sec 4, her sch uniform..... hahahaha...

JP arrived shortly and started the solemnisation..... they exchanged their vows and JP said "u, bridegroom, pls wear the ring for the bride"... at this point of time, SL turned to me, signal me to walk over.... i was like "????", am i involved ??? then JP repeated "u r the bridegroom, not the bridesmaid".... OMG, SL made a mistake.... she must be too kan cheong..... hahhaa.... soon, the JP announced they are husband and wife.... so happy for her !!!!

I think I am those most "Gao Siao" bride liao.... :P

 i feel touched when nick n SL made their speech, SL said to nick "the road is never smooth sailing in future, but i believe we will brave them through hand in hand".... i feel so touched..... really happy for SL, she married the man she loves and this man can take care of her for life.... SL started to thank her sis grp 1 by 1..... then i ran from my table wif my "bye-bye" arms in the air.... then all sis stand in 1 row n shouted "SL, we will always love u"....... i love this part.... it seems that our fredship is still strong after 14yrs even though we met up less often....

It was a very touching moment when you gals shouted..... the feeling is good! Thanks Gals!

the dinner ended ard 11pm wif SL n nick bidded the guests home.... i was busy walking up n down again, ferrying things back to the hotel room..... hahhaa.... i wonder did i lost any weight that nite..... wahahhahaa..... stayed until 1+am, helping SL to bring things up the room, removing her tons of hairpins etc..... busy n tired day but i am happy that i actually can help SL on a lot of things which lesser her burdens cos she can count on me like wat she wrote in the "thank u" card....

Really have to say a big big thank you to WS, she took a lot of initatives to organise the sisters group. The whole event is perfect with your help! I have enjoyed myself with you gals right from the hens nite to my wedding day. Its the kind of unitity in friends that I enjoyed most. I will never foget the scene we make at the central mall toilet, trying to help Surin with her make up, puke like merlion at double O. Trying hard to tekan Nick on AD! :)

I just got to know from WS, what they actually done with the left over rose petals...
u rem u ask me to bring the flower gal de basket up to hotel , then inside still left some rose petals , me n meizhen actually deco ur bed wif the rose petals wan. we made a heart shape wif an arrow but who knows u call n say nick drunk liao, then we faster remove the petals n prepare the bed for him.

Its very sweet gesture from WS and Meizhen. But Uncle Nick get so drunk that we dun get to enjoy the sweet moment....tonight I go back will twist Uncle Nick de ear!

From Sherry:
Yes, we are making lime-ice-cubes, pure lime, and some renditions of it with seeds. It wasnt us.. we wanted to look for the sift and remove the seeds from the lime juice. But SL could not find the sift, so what to do, she says just forget about removing the seeds lor... just as well laa, make the tekan more evil!!

The girls were in a very light mood, having fun with makeup and silly jokes all the while, and we got the reception area ready, and waited for the solemnization ceremony to begin.
The Justice of Peace arrived just after 7pm, and hardly 10 minutes later, everything was done, and sealed. There's a few "gao-xiao" moments from SL too.. she must be too nervous about the whole episode. Hahazz..

In the middle of the dinner, the groom performed a song for SL, aiyooo, so "mushy", and Steven was shaking his head... I think he cant bear it. But he kept quiet when I asked him if he will sing when it's his turn!

In short, it's the wedding of the year laa, SL and Nick's promise of a lifetime together! All so mushy lor.

Hahah... I do agree that Nick can get mushy at times.... not all the time, but sometimes only...I am glad you gals enjoyed urself on this day. Frankly speaking I always thought our friendships has weakened over the years... but on this special day, ... I could feel the same kind of feeling we used to have in secondary school. Its was great! Something that all of us do for a common goal!

Wanching, u can feel the spiritual emotional too right...Thanks for being a part of this celebration! Must really thank Surin for pulling the gals together to do a special shouting at the dinner. Weishien also did a lot on the organising part. I could sense that Kacy was really touched after the shouting. Can see a bit of tears in the corner of her eyes. Are u touched by wat I said to Nick on the Thank you speech? Hahaha... PS really did a great job with the photos! I guess U din get to eat throughout the dinner cos I see you walking up and down... Hahah.... PS is a good drinker too...she help with the drinking...dun play play with gers power!

Beside my secondary friends, Meizhen is the only gal who has been with me since primary school. I am really glad she accompany me the whole day. She is a very shy gal. Its a big challenge for her to mix with company she is unfamiliar with. But she has done it for me!!!! Tks Meizhen!

It was more then a wedding, it was like a gathering for me. Finally some poly frens meetup. This meet up was arranged a long time ago but never materialised. And it had to happen in a wedding night. LOL. Glad to see everybody still kicking well. A few drinks and we all just clicked like we are long lost frens.LOL

At the end of the wedding, there was a supposely a second rounds of drinks at a nearby pub to revive the old poly days. But one of the guys was kinda drunk. .........................................

Guys getting emotional. I wish i could be like him sometimes. But i just couldnt do it. I am too rational to do it. No matter how drunk i am i tries to control myself. Refusing to succumb to liquor and embarrass myself infront of everyone. Just my nature perhaps. Self Control is always important to me. Showing the strong side of guys... LOL.. all guys are like that i guess. Tats how the society made us up.

I was at the wedding. Every gal looked so simple, i was thinking why am i thinking of such a complex gal? Am i looking for trouble? Perhaps.

I m glad you guys enjoyed! But this occasion seems to dig up some soft side of my guy freds! Haha.... Kheng Hock starts to "review" on himself on his "uncertain" relationship with a ger... because of what he sees in RC....Hahaha... Guys get to show their emotional sometimes. Kheng Hock, u mean every gals at the dinner look simple?!?!...eh alot of them dressed up for the event ok! Hahaha... Maybe a gal is only pretty in the eyes of her beholder.

From RC:
Attended SL's solemnisation and wedding dinner yesterday. Apart from some mis-Qs, the entire event was great. SL really put in a lot of effort into her wedding. From getting professional music production services, a real cake for cutting to getting the emcee and her husband to sing. This has to be the best wedding dinner I attended so far. I knew SL since poly days and at one time, we were quite close. She always has been, and still is, a very capable and independent lady.

It was a very happy occasion... But I got drunk again. Everything seemed to be going well and we having the last dish of the night. The next time I know was waking up on my bed. Immediately I knew that I got knocked out. Although we did not drink much, I could not remember anything after the last dish. Des filled in the details over the phone. How I puke over the restaurant toilet, all over my jeans and shoes; how I was dragged out of the toilet and back home; how unconscious I was.

Thanks RC. I read your greeting on the angbao cover too... Finally someone is able to control me huh! Hahaha... RC says he is so worried that given my strong character, no man can contol me! I once ask Nick the same question if I appear too strong to him that he cant control me. He replied me that "We should live base on mutual respect for each other and not who control who."  I feel that his words are quite true! Well... I may not seems to be as strong as what my outter look protray. Nick always say I "gong gong stu stu de" Hahaha....

Btw RC u look really drunk! Haha... but no worries, its a happy occasion, we should all drink to our fills right! Luckily u get drunk before asking me to drink more! :P

From PS:
The Memorable Night, 7.00pm onwards...
The Justice of Peace arrived just after 7pm, within ard 15 minutes , everything was done, and sealed. This is going to be the most memorable and comical solemasation of the year... First, just as the JP started to say some sacred sentences.. Daniel and myself heard a loud and long ... "Poot..." we turned and look at each other... soon later.... a few more times.. while the JP was making the sentences... The "sound" just gel well with his sentence... everytime, he finished one sentence..the "Poot" faded in. It was quite loud and clear.. maybe Kelvin videocam can manage to captured that.. haha.. but I must swear.. it's really not me!! Our guess is the JP!! haha..

This is going to be funny!!!! I am waiting for Kelvin's video to see if can hear the pu pu sound! :P

After the second march-in.. Nick performed a song for SL, aiyooo, so "mushy", Nick did not sing as loudly as he used to do at KTV.. guess he was nervous too.. haha.. Daniel say Nick was shievering in the hidden room while waitin for his turn to sing.. haha...but i must admit his courgae and dedication for SL... Great Job man!...

I din know he is shivering! Hahahaha......I ask him after reading your blog, he say he nervous mar...... Luckily its not sing live cos I think a lot of ppl will faint!!!! Hahahaha......

After most of the guests have left, sl decide to hold her  throwing of hand bouquet time! All the girls pushed at each other, not wanting to catch the bouquet, then insist it should be catch by me.. but why me..? since I'm the next on the confirmed list to get married.. hahha.. shld give the chance to SW, WC or surin mah...

Ya lor, I told them U and WS cannot be in the group to catch the flower lar, but they pai sei huh....hahahah.....
