Has been chasing after this drama for weeks! Last week, while reading sherry's blog, got to know that she got a version of this!!! Finally.... we can catch it faster than TV! Hahahahaha!
Frankly speaking dun understand why a man who love to soak legs is so well loved by his people. And intelligent ppl willing to serve him and die for him....weird.... and he is such a playboy too. On the other hand, a man who slaughter human as if crashing an ant is so devoted to love.....maybe no human is perfect....hahahaha....
From this drama, got to understand wat is BC and AD.... grow so big, now then understand! Hahahaha....
Updates:We finally finished the drama last night... morale of the story, reality is cruel.
Sometimes one has to do certain things because the situation is not on his side...No matter how unwilling is Liu Bang, he has no choice but to listern to the majority to kill his brother Siang Yu.
And in order to reach a certain level, no matter how kind hearted one is, he got to be cruel... All of the ppl knows Liu Bang is a good man, but in the end he also have to plot to remove his thorns!
Finally one has to go through a lot of hardship and set back in order to achieve "big success". Unlike Liu Bang who grew up in a small village, always have to wag his tail in order to get ppl to help him. Siang Yu on the other hand come from a prestige family and never experience major setback in life. In his most difficult time, given a choice to flee back to his homeland. He gave his life up rather than to be a rat to restart again....

i watched this too! but not very consistently... got captured by the good acting and story plots. but somehow, i still dun really understand the full story. U mean liu bang and xiang yu are real blood brothers?? i cant stand liu bang. he's a good-for-nothing i feel! not heroic and a scaredy cat...
liu bang is successful due to his capable wife...who took over power for a while after he died. there r 3 female emporers in chinese history...first is liu bang's wife Lu Hou, then Tang dynasty's Wu Ze Tian n last but not least the Dowager Ci Xi in Ching dynasty...
it's showing today that xiang yu want to boil liu bang's family to death today rite? so in the end, lu hou did not die?

They are not blood-related. Liu Bang was unless. But he was also one of the best kings in history later on.
chinese history got many interesting stories to tell...so much so that teh scriptwriters are like digging in a treasure cave and tata..nice plot naturally..
Xiang yu was no doubt a hero like character , but he wouldn't be a benevolent ruler if he won the throne. Liu Bang on the other hand came from humble roots and thus was seen as an emperor who would understand his people's needs better.
Lu Zhi ( Empress lu was one venomous woman in history..one of her worst story was after Liu bang passed on years later, she took revenge on her opponent in court immediately, poor Concubine Qi, she was blinded, deafened, cut out tongue, chopped off her limbs and put inside a big pot..not allowed to die but to suffer as long as possible under Empress Lu's orders , as punishment for vying the emperor's love then... yikes right!
good tv drama series really have the power to lure pple home one kekeke.. i remember those days when Qiong Yao's six dreams series were on friday nights, like "Mute wife"(ya qi) or Xue Ke, we would also rush home like mad to watch...that time no reply no vcds to watch..only chance is to watch on the dot or tape down...
sounds familiar...think i saw tis storyline in one of the Dowager dramas...where Ci Xi did tis to her enemy too..so which is true?
ya! ya! that hongkong drama, Jie Da Huan Xi, act by Hao Yi. The empress also chop off limbs and store in the big jar!
hehehe...i saw tat show too..but hao yi survived for 20yrs n pop out one day hehehe...so funny..
i tink the interesting part of this drama is the war strategy that they used... and it is also shown how emperors of the olden days can be easier affected by women!! no wonder there's this saying "ying xiong nan guo mei ren guan"
according to my research back then, both are true..though ci xi is a copy cat loh..i'm sure Empress Lu was recorded doing that...
i'm so glad i passed the show over to you!! now, you dun have to rush home every night because of this show! btw, i also read about Lu Hou as well. She is smart but one vicious lady!
i think for women of olden times...u can't go far if u r not vicious enough..
today is the last episode on tv... it's quite sad the way xiang yu and liu bang's brotherly ties turned out...
