We woke up at 5am on Sunday morning. Nick put on his jogging attire. Me on my subaru cap! ahahah.... All ready for the standard chartered run! .... He run...me no run... :P
He had his water parade while on our way to city hall mrt to meet his fellow colleagues. They took a group photo and we make our way to the start point (infront of esplanade)...Mr Nick got quite some cold feet here....hahahah... I accompanied him to the start point and was shove away by the authority cos I have no number tag on me...hehehe...One look the authority could tell I am not in the race...cos I am in slippers! :P and carry one big bag....
He joined his colleagues to move to the front line. I make my way across the road by the underbridge and within walking distance, I am standing infront of fullerton where I could see the start point. There are too many ppl le...I cant locate him. So after they move off for the 10km Men run...I also make my way...hahaha... to Macdonalds! I manage to settle myself at the Macdonalds at Boat Quay.
While q-ing for my breakfast, I met this ang mo drunkard who insist on paying for my meal...he took out a stack of money! along side was another lady...I faster run upstair and stayed for 10 min b4 I went down to get my breakfast... The stupid ang mo still there...outside the Mac eating his burger with that drunkard look. After I got my breakfast, I settled on the 1st floor....that stupid ang mo come into the counter shouting "I am hungry...wat u have for recommendation" siao de....in case of trouble again...I took my tray and went to the 2nd floor.... Not long later, a group of 4 young ang mo mixed black... 2 gals, 2 guys... not even 20 yrs old...
They starting talking about their sex experience loudly....1 of the guy ( a bit like indian mix ang mo...in his super ang mo slang) say he always do it when he is drunk...if not he is not that easy.... the ang mo gals start calling him "man whore".....*faint.... the guy continues yes...many many different locations! The gal start calling him "man whore! man whore!"
The gal ask him if he bring any condoms with him...he immediately answered "I dun wanna get aids!" The gals goes on calling him "man whore"!
Another gal start asking the other guy if he has done it with many at one go.,... this guys seems a bit reserved said "one at a time"... the gal immediately chipped in "1 in the toliet, 1 in the room, 1 in the mosque"......
OMG....wat are these ang mo kids doing.... I just stayed there to hear their conversation....I think they notice me...one of the threw an ice cube over and say "hey gal"...I did not look at them... I was playing the game on my hp... In my heart I am thinking... "woh sei... i still little ger to them ar...maybe they look at me like super nerdy?" cos it was 7 plus in the morning... they just finish partying and I am there alone for my breakfast dress so casually...hahahha...
I looked at my watch...8.30 am liao... I guess Nick should be back ba... I made my way to the finishing line...on my way I saw many runners coming back... alot of cheer group too...I was thinking...maybe he is walking somewhere behind...hahaha..... cos he din put in much effort to train for this run..... We agreed to meet at the "bananas collection point" hahaha.... so many smelly runner!!! alamak! Not long later, Nick called me...he already come back for quite some time! hahahaha... we met up and he showed me his medal...hahaha.... Not bad sia... he managed to run about 7km and walk run the rest of the 3km... Luckily I am not in the run... :P
At the venue, the runners get free drinks like coke, 100 plus, minerals waters, and lots and lots of bananas! Hahahaha..... We saw the prize awards to the full marathon race. 42km that starts 5am! That black runner break records! The 3rd prize is USD8k , followed by 2nd prize, USD15k and winner at USD25k!!!!! No wonder they flew all the way here to run!
We left the place and now its Nick's turn to get Macdonalds! Hahaha.... went to nearby Funnan...lots of ppl there in blue jogging top too... all from the standard chartered run too! Whole place are crowded.... with smelly smelly......hhahahahaha....

Wow, both of u have a very healthy start of the day. Exercising is very good. My parents always urged me & David to wake up early on Saturday morning & join them to climb the Bt Timah hill as they said we shd let Dylan enjoy mountain climbing as the air is good but so far we only went once and that was abt 1 yr ago. Very lazy of us :p
Hahaha... only onces in a deep blue blue moon.... this time its organised and paid by his company.... will get penalty if registered liao din go.....other than this.....we are never so hardworking.... sunday usually a sleeping day...hahaha...From day 1 he registered for this, he keep saying he need to go train up... in the end he only went for 1 jog last week. Can imagine how lazy loh.... :P me worse...he went running, I went for macdonald breakfast! hee hee hee!
Ahh..... so i see, u never run har ....... i still tot u'r part of the game.
Well can still consider u part of it lah as u still make an effort to wake up so early to accompany your hubby to the race.
Read abt your strange encounter at Mac, the ang mo who wanted to give u a treat, very scary leh ....... if i were u, i might have left Mac.
My colleagues also went for the run. The ladies started @ 7am, gents started later..........
i was there too... but same as you i'm only supporter...wah at first i thought your Nic so powerful, run full marathon within 3hours..haha..but my hubby was jialet,ran the full marathon till wnat to die liao...but consider he din train for it at all and we went Bali eat and eat, put on so much..he can complete the run by 1130am good enuff la..heehee...though his classmates all finished earlier than him...

There are a lot of ppl!!!! I think the ladies who start at 7 is the 21km? Cos when we were there, I saw the man 10km start at 7.15 and woman 10km at 8.00... but some ppl dun care lei... when the men start, the woman also follow...hahahha... Nick saw ppl pushing baby trolley while running! Hahahah....
Full marathon not easy lei... start at 5am rite. Imagine 42km... walk also walk until leg break ar...hahahha... those who can complete the 42km really must thumb up liao!
Indeed... not easy.. need a lot of training.. maybe next year i will go for the 10 km run with my friends while he does his marathon...
