Flying pork

23 May is a special date... this year we celebrate 4 years anniversary... the day fate arrange for us to meet.....

Special quote from ST... she said this to Nick over a dinner some time back..."I only thirsty mar, ask her out for beer, then she marry u liao" hahahahah....

We din really discuss how to celebrate.. every time I ask Nick, he will have no comments...
I actually wanted to bring him to De Bali Affair for his birthday celebration but we got carried away at a friend's baby shower and missed the timing.

For 23 May, Nick suggest that we should go De Bali Cafe... since we missed that the other time...
I saw some good review of this place and especially their lamb rack. They are famous for their "hot stone" too.

Nick surprise me with a gift... he seldom buy present... hahahha... he hide the present in my bag, but he din notice that there is another gift in the bag too....hahaha... we exchange our presents while waiting for the food. Nick say I din appear to be really surprise...hahah cos I already suspected he went to buy present the previous day before we meet after work... But he was really surprise with the present I got for him! Hahahah...

He wanted to find a "long" design pendent we saw on TV sometime back, but after searching a few shops, he couldn't find the design he wanted. In the end, this pendant from Charles Stefano caught his eyes.

I got him a wrist chain, the previous chin he had was also a present from me, from Charles Stefano, but it is already loosen. I had planned to get him a wrist chain for quite some time, din buy from CS as there are not much new design. I jokingly told him if I had gotten his chain from Charles Stefano, we would have 2 gifts of the same box!

We had a good dinning experience, the ambiance of the place is really nice. We ordered a lamb rack and sakura chicken on hot plate...At first Nick placed the entire piece of chicken on the hot stone, but it cooked really fast... in the end he learn that should cook in small portion instead...hahhaha..

We were the first 2 customers of the day, Nick say he booked the entire place... some crab story from him..hahaha.... We finished our dinner and off for the Flying Experience!

Nick had secretly booked for the tickets to Singapore Flyer on Thursday nite. He was using the computer while I was watching the TV. He caught my attention when he took his credit card typing away. I went up and see what he was doing.

I saw the Singapore Flyer website!!! He said he has actually planned to be a surprise cos he knew that I wanted to go for the ride... Hahahah... But I saw liao :P

Then I was happily asking him wat timing he booked. He told me 9.30pm, just nice after dinner. As we were happily chatting away, he accessed the booking page again to see wat other timing is available. Then I saw the first available ride at 8.30 AM. I looked at Nick and ask him if he is sure he booked the PM slot... He quickly open his e-tickets...Oh Oh..... he booked the 9.30 am slot! Alamak!!! We tried to call the office but it was 11.30pm already...the office are closed. Nick say he too kan cheong to book...din see clearly...hahahha...

On Friday morning, he tried to contact the sales office and they advised that we can bring the e-tickets to the sales office and they will change for us. At lunch time, I saw a sms from Nick, "Tonight 9pm I will take u with me to the sky" ... I replied back "U got rem to wear the superman red underwear bo"... He replied "Bo lei"... then I replied " Then bo pian liao, U have to transform to the pig from Aust liao... Flying pork! Then I sit on u!" Hahahaha...

:P

After dinner, we reached the Singapore Flyer at 8.30pm. The lady at the ticketing office arranged for us to go for the 9pm ride. Before entering the area, there are security check, then take photo...hahahh... meant for super impose and later on can choose to buy the photo at 15 bucks.
The cabins are moving non stop... so got to be really careful when boarding. Together with us in the cabin are 2 other couples. Cant really feel the movement of the cabin. Just as we are looking at the nite skyline of the CBD area, we saw fireworks!!! It is coming from Boat Quay area... not very big scale but we "tan tio" hahahha! Nick say he spend million bucks to have the firework display... another crab story...hahahah...

The ride is quite an experience. When it is moving upwards, the buildings and landscape appear to be quite far.. when it reaches the highest point, the buildings and landscape become very near and big! Then it get smaller on its way down.

Overall, this day is an experience and memorable one. The toto number for the nite has 23, 05, 08.... but no toto luck! Hahahaha....
