We were quite late for class cos I forget which floor we should be going so we went up and down the lift. :P There are about 12 couples... mostly quite young... the "lecturer" lagi even more young!
She started the class by explaining the woman body and changes during preggy... sound a bit dry... then what to expect during preggy... backache and stuff...she goes on to say how our tummy muscle get split open to 2 bars of muscle so that baby can grow in between the muscles!...hmm... so does that means that my "yi da li" 一大粒 now become "liang da tiao" 两大条! hahhaa...
She say during preggy, our body release a "relax" hormones which makes our joints become "apart" so that it can cushion the bb wt and also make us less susceptible to injury... but the bad part is, we may feel some how "dis-located"... no wonder I heard a friend say before she feel that her pelvic bone felt dis-joint from her upper body after birth... then she keep wearing a bind to "keep it in place". hmmm... I have gotten that bind too... just in case I need to keep my lower body syn with my upper body too. :P Then I tell Nick, does the "dis-joint" make me master "qing gong" 轻功 liao!
There is a 5 minutes tea break followed by explaining what kind of exercise is suitable for each trimester. She taught a few exercise stuns, we are suppose to do and she will come by to check... Nick say because I din pay $$$ so she din check my position! Hahaha... he is joking... but we haven made our payment :P cos dun know where to pay.
The most funny part is when she tried to explain how to do the kegel exercises... obviously she cant show or direct... so she explain say guy also have pelvic floor muscles and she start with "U are now in the lift and u feel like urine, so u have to close your front hole, then you feel like breaking air and you are in the lift with your boss, so u have to close your back hole"...hmmm... how to close back hole??? If possible why still got people fart in public lei... hahhaha
Then she highlighted that as preggy approach 3rd trimester they should be sleeping on the side. But if kicking is felt then maybe can try the 3 point sleeping position. By the sleeping at the side will help reduce backache as well... That nite I tried her method... not helping at all... I guess I can only sleep flat flat on my back... cos the minute I turn to my side, little NJ start kicking non stop! I think I m crushing her...hahhaa
The "lecturer" also mentioned that our diaphragm got compressed by the baby there is why we are breathing lesser and get breathless easily. So I ask her if the pain I am experiencing is rib cage pain or diaphragm pain... she say more than that... cos our organs all being push upwards... only way is to regular our meals... sian... very hard to control and how to adjust :P I have been experiencing the rib bone pain esp after meal... but I find it quite hard to control my diet also... every food looks yummy to me...
Nick keep telling me that I should practice those exercises taught in class.. the 1st nite when we returned home, I tell him, I do in class liao, so dun need to do... 2nd nite... I went out to meet my ex-col so return home late and tired... too lazy to do... he say "tomolo u must do huh"... hmmm ok... KIV....cos I am feeling sleepy from "insufficient sleep" last nite :P
I feel like a lazy bum and just wanna keep lying in bed all the time...hahhaa... and not forgetting eating nice and yummy food!
I read this from the bbcenter:
You may be feeling a little tired these days, especially if you're having trouble sleeping. You might also feel clumsier than normal, which is perfectly understandable. Not only are you heavier, but the concentration of weight in your pregnant belly causes a shift in your center of gravity. Plus, thanks to hormonal changes, your ligaments are more lax, so your joints are looser, which may also contribute to your balance being a bit off.
No wonder I am feeling so lazy and clumsy nowadays... like a big penguin walking aroud...
