Too much Elsa and Anna

I have not watch Frozen but I am aware that it create quite a hype among kids and even adults. During CNY day 3, my kakis and their family came over my place for the annual CNY gathering. The daddy downloaded the movie Frozen and the kids watched for a while.

Charlotte has not watch it before but I can sense that she wasn't quite interested. On the other hand, her bestie, Reina was really into this movie. Accordingly to her mother, she was practically repeatedly watching the you tube of "Let it go".

Just this weekend, Reina came over to play with Charlotte. As usual, the girls went into Charlotte's room and after a while, I saw Charlotte in another bedroom. So we asked why they are in separate rooms? The answer we got is they are in school or something along that line... I saw this grumpy look in Charlotte. I thought she was still moody from the afternoon sage. (Just before Reina came, Charlotte had some "showdown" with her daddy.

After a while, we went to check on the girls and they are still in separate rooms.... I asked Charlotte if she wants to take some raisin to share with Reina. So the girls went back to Charlotte's room to share the raisin. Reina's mummy ask her on why they are in separate room... the answer we got is they are playing Elsa and Anna. According to the show, the 2 sisters are being separated into 2 rooms because Elsa has this special power which she is worried that she will hurt Anna.

After dinner, the girls are playing and I overhead their conversation on some "power" thingy.... Reina and doing this "出power" action like the one Elsa did in the you tube (I only watch the song on you tube, Hokkien version BTW) and Charlotte was mumbling about catching some bad guys. Obviously, one is playing the role of Frozen and the other one who did not watch the movie is in her own good guy catch bad guy world.

This morning, I ask Charlotte if they are playing Elsa and Anna game yesterday. She shook her head. I asked her if she knew why they were in separate rooms? She shook her head. I explained to her that Reina is playing the roles in the movie with her. In the movie, Elsa has power (假假的) so they cannot stay in 1 room. I asked if she likes it? She shook her head. I told her, if she don't like it, she should voice it out and proposed to play something else.

The thing we noticed about Charlotte is she is not a vocal person. She will normally go with the flow even if she does not quite like it. Not sure if there is anyway we can boost her self confident so that she can voice out what she wants at times.
