Photoshoot ~ Love is in the air

4th April 2007 ~ We finally settle our photo shoot!!!

We went for macdonald breakfast, pump petrol even go for a car wash before we head for the studio. This time round, less anxious and more relax...hahah... but i still cant help put keep checking on my eyes to see if its swollen. I think i am paranoid...hahha... fear from the last photo shoot eposide. Receive a msg from ps on her well wishing and I suddenly think of lunch! Hahah..i think i am the odd ball who still think of food on the day of photoshoot.

Started the make up and see how my MUA, Angeline did the magic! First time in life i wore a fake eyelashes, the feeling is funny, kinda fake to have something sticking on the eyelid. Looking at the amount of foundation and cream she rubbed into my face, i am wondering if my make up remover tissue at home can clean the stuffs!... Hahah... another odd ball thinking. But i think for sure is make up do make magic, look much different after the make up! I cant tell for myself but I really see the magic on Nick! The hairstyle and the makeup really make him look more sauve. He must be grining from ear to ear when he heard this comment. Luckily he is not a "hiao ta po", if not everyday spend few hours on styling hair jiu siao liao! Hahaha...

Communicated with Vincent, the photographer on the style we want and show him some pictures. Initally we have arranged to take some outdoor shot in this pub in reddot, but it was so happen that its their anniversary so we have to drop the idea. Another thought is taking the Singapore river boat ride but it was too dark for photo shoot, so drop the idea. We decided to play by ear to see how things goes. 

First is the victorian style. The original guy outfit looks so funny, red and green like xmas tress. Luckily I did some homework by bring some sample photos I seen in fellow BZ brides. He put on a penquin tail coat! Hahah.. Before the photoshoot, Vincent ask if we have any preference in style of photography. After the communication we decide to go for more traditional type (must see face de, not so artistic till cant tell whose in the picture) and more romantic kind. Hahaha...

 

 

 

 

We only choose one traditional clothes so I have another option for evening gown. This style is a bit like the "shanghai tang" feel, i think add one more feather fan will really look like it... luckily we din...hahah... but its a different feel, cos my AD evening gown is pom pom, so it is much different with the tube cut.

My lunch is here!, Luckily for PS, we get to eat chicken rice for lunch! Thanks PS for taking some time off your crazy working schedule to send us lunch! Really wanna "lao ba sai" liao! hahah... She and RC was really surprise how come I can still eat chicken rice, isnt all brides taking photo should be on diet?!? RC even make the comment that SL is still SL, ya ya ya, bride also need to eat de mar. Plus the roast skin is really yummy! Heheh... sinful...

Time for new style again! Change into the blue evening gown, my hair is being pulled and combed, by now tonns of hairspray is on the hair! but this style is drama drama! Hahaha... Angeline took a "before" and "after" look.

 

 

 

 

 

Finally the wedding gown, 1st style is bun with pearls..hahha...look a bit "neo nia"...2nd one is more modern with diamond looking accessories. One funny incident that happen during the photoshoot, I keep mixing up the instructions from the photographer.

Vincent : Put your hand ard his neck
Vincent : Ok now the groom kiss the bride cheek...
then I grabbed Nick de face...
Vincent : No, left cheek..
then I turn Nick's face to left side with both my palm on his face...
Vincent : Not you, its the groom! Hahah... why nowadays role change ar...hahah..violent lei!

I only managed to take photo of 1 look cos by then we are rushing for 2nd look and faster change clothes to go for outdoor shoot. By the time we left the studio its already 4.30 pm. It a bit drizzling when we reach Botenic Garden. We saw 2 couples there taking photo too. We were made to do some running for some shoot. Luckily I am in my slippers. Hahaha...

 

 

 

 

 

The sun was out and we took a few more shoots in Bontenic Garden and headed for Labrador Park. On our way there, Surin called. She is now at Boon Keng outside the bridal shop...She counld'nt reached us on the phone. But we have already left for the outdoor shoot. Its a pity she could'nt join us. Cos she is a joke ball, I am sure we would have more fun with her around. But ger dun worry, I will let u see the pictures once I have them.

We reach Labrador Park about 6.30pm... no sunset but some sun rays. Took some shoots by the railings. Nick is made to piggyback me to run some distance..That's was fun! Cos not me running mar. Vincent was joking that cant tell Nick so skinny still can piggyback me and run! Hahaha... We proceed to take some by the water shot. It was low tide and we have to stand on rocks and show as if we enjoy playing in the water. But we are not..hahah... the water is so dirty!

Finally done with the park. After washing the dirty feets and legs, I change into my evening gown in this "八宝袋". Its a round about tube only the head sticking out. We went to Clark Quay for the nite scene. We took some pictures by the bridge and as we come to the area near the pubs. The camera hangs!!! The camera cant read the photo. Vincent was sweating...he say the indoor and outdoor shoots are all inside that card, and the other card he has only left some memory enough for a few shot. I told him need not worry, as long as the photos are taken, he should be able to retrive them from a card reader. He say he would have to delete some shots from the "ok" memory card so that we can free up some space for the continuing shoot. We are alright with that. Every single shot is precious now..hahhaa... we took a few more by the fountain, outside some pubs. Finally we are done with the photo shoot! Vincent ask us to pray for him that the photos are still ard...hahah..

2 weeks later we can see the outcome of the photoshoot. It was a fairly tired day and we are hungry....hahah... we went for lasi lemak and fried chicken wing as reward for ourself... The day ended in the bath room trying to get rid of the makeup and tonns of hair spray and gel. Luckily Angeline also impart the knowledge of removing hair spray and gel.. use the conditioner to soften the hair b4 the wash. 1 trick learnt! Hahah!
