The crust is esp tasty... crunchy and sweet!!! The baking took a bit long, about 1 hour but its yummy! I think it taste even better with ice cream!
I like to use this recipe because it works every time. I tried b4 to replace the recipe to chocolate chip and it turn out good as well.
Ingredients:130g butter
130g caster sugar
2 eggs
250g self-raising flour
120ml milk
2 apples diced
Cinnamon powder a bit
Crunchy topping
130g flour
100g brown sugar
100g chopped butter
100g chopped nuts (optional)
Preheat oven to 180 deg C. Make topping by rubbing in flour, butter and brown sugar until it resembles breadcrumbs, add in chopped nuts.
For the cake, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy, add in egg one at a time, beat to mix in, add in flour and milk until mixture look like thick batter.
Diced apple and coat with a bit of cinnamon powder. Pour 1st layer of batter then top with apple, pour in 2nd layer and top with apple. Pour in the balance of batter for last layer and sprinkle the crunchy topping.
Bake for 50 minute.
